Obituary for Shannon Redwine

Shannon Redwine
Shannon Trent Redwine died Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Garland. He was born February 3, 1984 in Muleshoe, Texas to Bobby and Debra (Garner) Redwine.

Shannon attended Lazbuddie ISD, played basketball and football, and was involved in FFA. He coached Little Dribblers youth basketball teams, performed in One Act Play and was active in many other extracurricular activities. He served as the Area I FFA President and as Texas FFA State Vice President. While attending Texas A&M University, he was active in student government, and as a charter member, he helped found the TAMU chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity. He worked as an alumni coordinator at Treehouse Rehab in Scurry, Texas. He left a legacy of love that stretched across the state and the nation, and his tender heart influenced many in ways that can’t be measured. He spread hope, encouragement and support through chance encounters, focused mentoring and lasting friendships, impacting countless lives along the way.

Shannon is survived by his mother, Debra Redwine and John Simmons of Kingsland, Texas; his father, Bobby Redwine of Lazbuddie, Texas; his sister, Jarah Redwine of Cypress, Texas; his two brothers, Brice Redwine and his wife, Brittney of Lubbock, Texas and Tobin Redwine and his wife, Shanna of Montgomery, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Eli Redwine, Brinn Redwine, Bailey Redwine and Owen Redwine.

A memorial fund has been established to help carry on Shannon’s legacy. Donations can be made online through https://www.gofundme.com/shannons-legacy or can be sent to Interbank, in care of Pascal Hosch, P.O. Box 450, Graham, Texas, 76450. Funds raised will be directed by the family to support youth development and addiction recovery programs.
