Elzie Browne died Friday, April 6, 2018 in Wellington, Texas at the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 19 days. He was born November 17, 1926 in Seagraves, Texas to John D and Viola (Ratliff) Browne. He married Nathalene Southern in Seminole, Texas on September 14, 1946.
Elzie was employed by the Cityof Big Spring as the Traffic Street supervisor before becoming a Supervisor for the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of the Morton Volunteer Fire Department and was active in the Morton School Band Booster Club. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Morton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nathalene; three daughters, Shirley Jean Browne, Patricia Ann Browne and Beverly Hudson; his parents; three sisters; and five brothers.
Elzie is survived by his son-in-law, Tommy Hudson of Wellington, Texas; his sister-in-law; two grandchildren, Holly Landess and Kent Hudson and his wife, Karrie; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Landess, Thomas Landess, Natalee Hudson and Sadie Hudson.
