Obituary for Deanna "Dee" Kent (Eihusen)

Deanna "Dee" Kent (Eihusen)
Deanna “Dee” Marie Kent, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met, passed away on September 27, 2016 at the age of 48 at her home in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Born August 6, 1968 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Jacqueline Yvonne Eihusen and Darwin Dean Eihusen. Dee was the second of four children. From an early age, her family relocated often because her father was in the military. Dee attended Kaiserslautern High School, in Kaiserslautern Germany. Following graduation, Dee took time to travel all over Europe; she had a vast passion for travelling. Later, Dee went on to get her degree in Accounting. She was a hard-working, independent woman who was respected by all those she encountered.
Dee’s greatest achievement in life was raising her two children along with her husband Paul Kent. And, just five months ago, she was extremely proud of her new role as grandmother, “Nana” to her granddaughter Dylan Marie. Dee’s smile could light up a room as soon as she walked in; her love of life was contagious; she had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She made friends everywhere she went, and was blessed to have life-long friendships.
Her father, Darwin Dean Eihusen, preceded her in death. Dee is survived by her husband Paul Thomas Kent, who loved her dearly and was by her side caring for her daily; her daughter, Ashley Phiffer Branum and her husband, Lane; her son, Tristan Thomas Kent; her mother, Jacqueline Yvonne Eihusen; her precious granddaughter, Dylan Marie Branum; her sisters Michele Lacey and her husband Randall, Danielle Valdez and her husband Tomas; her brother William Eihusen and his wife Tina and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is forever grateful for the doctors and nurses at UMC and Southwest Cancer Center, and Interim Hospice team for caring for Dee during this battle. The memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, the 1st of October at First Baptist Church of Sudan, 110 Avenue L, Sudan, TX 79371, where Brother Rick Blackwell and Brother John Casey of Chandler, Oklahoma, along with Brother Robert Roecker and Brother Mike Woods of Sudan, Texas will officiate.
