Church service for Sahara Nicolas, age 69, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe with Father Rene Perez of Muleshoe officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Texico Cemetery, Texico, New Mexico. Sahara died Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Muleshoe. She was born May 3, 1947 in La Barca, Mexico. She married Alberto Nicolas in Piedras Negras, Mexico in 1966.
Sahara was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by two sons, Juan Carlos Nicolas and Bonefacio Nicolas and her parents.
Sahara is survived by her husband, Alberto; her three sons, Jose Nicolas of Farwell, Texas, Adrian Nicolas of Muleshoe, Texas and Isaac Nicolas of Farwell, Texas; her four daughters, Alma Orozco of Muleshoe, Texas, Maria Germain of Farwell, Texas, Monse Nicolas of Amarillo, Texas and Violeta Nicolas of Muleshoe, Texas; her two sisters, Rosa Lara of Muleshoe, Texas and Maria Antillon of Bovina, Texas; her six brothers, Jose Gonzales of Bovina, Texas, Jaime Gonzales of Eagle Pass, Texas, Mickey Gonzales of Bovina, Texas, Manuel Figuero of Piedras Negras, Mexico, Johnny Nicolas of Clovis, New Mexico and Ralph Nicolas of Lufkin, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
