Church service for Alfredo “Freddie" Anzaldua, age 62, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, December 23, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Rene Perez of Muleshoe officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Freddie died Monday, December 19, 2016. He was born January 14, 1954 in Mercedes to Noe and Viola (Barrera) Anzaldua. He married Mariann Madrid in Muleshoe on April 19, 1972.

Freddie lived most of his life in Muleshoe. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was the Commander at the American Legion, Post 25 in Clovis, New Mexico and was an officer for 5 years, as well as a member of the Rider’s Club and the Sons of the Legion. Freddie was also a member of the VFW #3215 in Clovis He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his father, Noe Anzaldua and a sister, Noelia Rodriguez.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Mariann; his mother, Viola Anzaldua of Muleshoe, Texas; his daughter, Audree Halcomb and her husband, Michael of Aviston, Illinois; his sister, Noemi Garza of Clovis, New Mexico; his brother, Roy Anzaldua of Muleshoe, Texas; and four grandchildren, Zachary Elias Duncan, Nikolas Turner Duncan, Wyatt Michael Halcomb and Morgan Noelle Halcomb.
