Obituary for Anna B Lane (Quesenberry)

Anna B Lane (Quesenberry)
Funeral Services for Anna B. Lane, age 84, of Stegall, Texas will be Tuesday February 7, 2017 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery.

Anna B. Lane, born, February 17, 1932, went home to be with our Lord on February 5, 2017 in Stegall. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Anna B. was born at home in Circleback, TX to Lawrence and Nettie Quesenberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eugene Quesenberry, Sister Nadine Macha, and her cherished husband of 59 years, Jack Lane.

Anna B. was the ultimate baker, and whatever Jack asked for, he got it! Everything sweet to eat was made from scratch and love by her own two hands. One of the things her family will treasure most are memories made just from sitting around the table at holiday meals and her amazing recipes. Mom or Nanna was a mother to us all. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She served her family best by instructing them in the ways of the Lord. Anna B. served the Lord and modeled her servant heart by serving her church. She taught Sunday school, led the singing, was the church secretary and treasurer, taught VBS, was the WMU director, as well as a GA leader. She loved her weekly ministry of nursing home visitation and was devoted to her ministries for well over 50 years at Three Way Baptist Church, First Baptist of Muleshoe, and Central Baptist of Clovis, NM.

Anna B. Lane is survived by her brother Bobby Quesenberry of San Antonio; her daughters: Janna Bennett of Littlefield, Danette (Roger) Hatcher of Ruidoso, and Michelle (Obie) Standard of Stegall. The grandchildren she raised as her own: Cynthia Bennett of Ft. Worth, Melissa (Keith) Durham of Clovis, and Jonathan Bennett of Lubbock. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren: Amber, Tristan, Lakin, Kalee, Creston, and Tiffany. Her great grandchildren: Pacen, Naci, Kannon, Kollins, Kreighton, Colton, Adelynn, Maddox, Grant, Griffin, Riley and one on the way.

In lieu of flowers, her family wishes for donations to be made to the Baptist Children’s Home of New Mexico, 220 S. Ave. I Portales, NM 88130, 575-359-1254.
