Obituary for Doc Jones

Doc  Jones
Doc Jones was born June 25, 1927 in Carter, Oklahoma to James William and Nettie May (Maserang) Jones. He married Adelia Reagan in Victoria, Texas on October 23, 1950.

Doc had lived in the Muleshoe are since 1974. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Adelia; his daughter, Cora Lee Jones; six sisters, Ruby Nowlin, Nancy Jones, Dorothy Brawley, Jimmy Johnson, Nettie Mae Means, and Valene Williams; and two brothers, Cecil Jones and Buster Jones.

Doc is survived by his three sons, Wade Jones and his wife, Sharen of Texarkana, Arkansas, Burl Jones and his wife, Tonya of Prentiss, Mississippi and Donald Jones and his wife, Debra of Muleshoe, Texas; his two daughters, Mae Donaldson and her husband, Darrell of Star City, Arkansas and Carol Ring and her husband, Richard of Muleshoe, Texas; three sisters, Wanda Pierce of Portland, Arkansas, Ima Allmon of Bisbee, Arizona and Bertha Willhite of Bisbee Arizona; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice of Levelland, Texas and Arbor Grace Nursing Home in Littlefield for their compassion and care. They suggest that memorials be sent to the Salvation Army, 1111 – 16th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79401.
