Obituary for Deborah Sue "Debbie" Thomas
Deborah Sue Thomas died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Hockley County,Texas. She was born April 25, 1953 in Lockney, Texas to James Bradford and Joyce Jeannine (Foster) Whitehead III.
Debbie loved her job at Cox’s Auto Parts in Morton. She was an avid rodeo participant, and won many saddles, buckles and trailers. She enjoyed the horse races in Ruidoso, and adored her own animals. Debbie was a people person and could talk to anyone. She treasured her time spent with her kids, grandkids and son-in-laws. She is preceded in death by her father, James and two brothers, Jesse Don Whitehead and Jimmy Lee Whitehead.
Debbie is survived by her two sons, Buddy Thomas and his wife, Kelsey of Rising Star, Texas and Marty Crowell of Jacksonville, Florida; her two daughters, Tonya Hodges and her husband, Chad of Stratford, Texas and Tracie Evans and her husband, Matt of Whiteface, Texas; her mother, Joyce Jeannine Whitehead of Lubbock, Texas; her eight grandchildren, Destiny, Macie, Sterling, Bronc, Quay, Cutter, Kaci Jo, and Blaise; and one great-grandson, Kasyn.
