Joan Salazar Ornelas died Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born May 9, 1965 in Morton, Texas to Marcos and Isabel (Herrera) Salazar.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard Herrera and Rudy Sepulbeda.
She is survived by her son, Joe Ray Ornelas and his wife, Alma Lujan of Morton, Texas; her daughter, Vanessa Mendoza and her husband, Alvaro of Ojinaga, Mexico; her sisters, Amelia Salazar of Morton, Texas, Rosa Anaya of Bledsoe, Texas and Elvira Alvarez and her husband, Tony of Muleshoe, Texas; her brothers, Bebe Salazar and his wife, Anna of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Arthur Sepulbeda of Bledsoe, Texas; and one granddaughter, Ximena Ornelas of Morton, Texas.
