Obituary for Medford Scifres

Medford  Scifres
Medford Scifres died Monday, January 8, 2018 in Ft. Worth. He was born September 28, 1921 in Aspermont, Texas to Robert Arthur and Rosa Mae (Roden) Scifres. He married Alice Hicks in Muleshoe, Texas on February 25, 1949.

Medford served in the US Army during World War II. He owned and operated Medford Shoes in Clovis, New Mexico from 1966 until 1989. Medford also was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Clovis, New Mexico for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 2007; his son, Kyle Scifres in 2007; and his parents.

Medford is survived by his son Jay Scifres of Ft. Worth, Texas; his sister, Ethel Storrs of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren, Michael Scifres and Emily Bell.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, PO Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas, 79174.
