Joel "JoJo" Tarango died Friday, February 2, 2018 in Lubbock. He was born April 3, 1964 in Morton, Texas to Jose T. and Lorina (Aguirre) Tarango.

“JoJo” loved spending time with his family. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan . He enjoyed watching wrestling, drawing, Allsups bean burritos and Tallsups. He is preceded in death by his father.

Joel is survived by his Mother, two daughters; Lori Tarango of Levelland ,Texas and Cinthia Borunda and her husband, Victor of Levelland, Texas; three sisters, Ana Lisa Castillo and her husband, Richard of Abernathy, Texas, Corina Lopez and her husband, Eddy of Abernathy, Texas and Adriana Barragan and her husband, Luis of Levelland, Texas; four grandchildren, Alexa Borunda, Victor Hugo Borunda, Vania Q. Borunda, and his beloved nieces and nephews.
