Obituary for Marjorie Dean Precure (Cassidy)
Marjorie Dean (Cassidy) Precure died Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Irving, Texas, at the age of 92 years, and one day. She was born February 7, 1926 in Frederick, Oklahome to Allison and Keith (Spinks) Cassidy. She married Kenneth Precure in Muleshoe on May 30, 1949.
Marjorie was a life long resident of Muleshoe. She received her teaching degree from Oklahoma University, and taught school at Muleshoe ISD. She also taught Sunday school and was a member of AAUW and ESA Sorority. Marjorie was an avid bridge player and loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her son, Allison Ray Precure; her grandson, Jared Harrison; her parents; and her sister, Jean McWilliams.
Marjorie is survived by her three daughters, Melanie Harrison of Carrollton, Texas, Cassie Shafer and her husband, Larry of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Judy Ferris and her husband, Mike of Denton, Texas; her eight grandchildren, Joel Harrison, John Harrison, Jordan Harrison, James Harrison, Scott Shafer, Steven Shafer, Lauren Mason Williamson, and Samantha Mason Elliott; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or Muleshoe Memorial Park, PO Box 373, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
