Obituary for Dolores Ivy (Self)
Dolores Self Ivy died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Amarillo, Texas at the age 94 years, 6 months, 27 days. She was born July 18, 1923 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Manuel and Veta (Goodwin) Self. She married R.V. "Hopper" Ivy in Roswell, New Mexico on February 21, 1944.
Dolores worked in the banking industry for many years. She was an avid reader and loved being around her family. Dolores was a member of the Church of Christ in Dimmitt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hopper and her parents.
Dolores is survived by her brother, Max Self and his wife, Dorothy of Dimmitt, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be sent to High Plains Children’s Home, 11461 South
Western Street, Amarillo, Texas, 79118.
