Obituary for Donald 'Don" Louis Randolph

Donald Louis Randolph died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 16 days. He was born June 21, 1937 in Truscott, Texas to Henry and Hazel (Glasscock) Randolph. He married Sunnye Kay Wyer in Dimmitt, Texas on October 25, 1958.

Don had lived in Earth all of his life. He was a member of the Earth Roping Club, the Earth Springlake Livestock Association and he was on the Board of Earth Coop Gin. Don was also an avid craftsman. He loved leather tooling and made spurs and belts. There are hundreds of cowbells around the country, especially made by his hands. The only price was that they be used often and handed down to the next generation. Don always said that he was a jack of all trades and master of none. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sunnye in 2004 and his parents.

Don is survived by his two sons, Jimmy Don Randolph and his wife, Nancy of Lampasas, Texas and Danny Randolph and his wife, Allison of Sundown, Texas; his daughter, Darcy Britton and her husband, Delwin of Sundown, Texas; his three sisters, Janey Wood and her husband, Preston of Springer, New Mexico, Pat Lindley of Muleshoe, Texas and Jeri Doan (sister-in-law) and her husbnd, Dale of Wildorado, Texas; his best friend, Merlene Ellis of Sundown, Texas; his seven grandchildren, Tracey Blake and her husband, Brady of Childress, Texas, Shelby Randolph of Lampasas, Texas; Brentz Britton and his wife, Ashley of Houston, Texas, Bryce Britton of Denver, Colorado, Reagan Randolph of Lampasas, Texas, Rylee Randolph of Lubbock, Texas and Reese Randolph of Sundown, Texas; and one great-grandson, Callan Blake of Childress, Texas.
