Carmen died Monday, March 12, 2018 in Muleshoe at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 2 days. She was born June 10, 1927 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Reyes and Santos (Gomez) Dominquez. She married Carmen C. Vega in February of 1954.

Carmen was a homemaker and is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Carmen; her eight sons, Benny Vega of Muleshoe, Texas, Robert Vega and his wife, Judy of Clovis, New Mexico, Ray Vega and his wife, Mary of Harding, Montana, Louis Vega and his wife, Lydia of Lubbock, Texas, Pedro Vega of Muleshoe, Texas, Carmen Vega Jr. and his wife, Lydia of Houston, Texas, Patrick Vega of Muleshoe, Texas and Angelo Vega and his wife, Casey of Muleshoe, Texas; her borther, Jose Dominguez of Lubbock, Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
