Inocenta Hinojos Mendoza died Friday, August 3, 2018 in Lubbock, Texaas at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 15 days. She was born April 18, 1936 in Provenir, Mexico to Manuel Hinojos and Sarah (Ornelas) Hinojos. She was married to Andres Mendoza.

Inocenta was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Morton. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1979; one sister Anita Hernandez; and four brothers Casimero Hinojos, Perfecto Marquez, Manuel Hinojos, and David Hinojos.

Inocenta is survived by her three sons, Jimmy Mendoza of Levelland, Texas, Eddie Mendoza of Morton, Texas, Adrian Mendoza and his wife, Dixie of Morton; her daughter, Janie Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
