Carey Brent Stancell died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Muleshoe, Texas at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 10 days. He was born December 7, 1968 in Muleshoe to Bennie and Carolyn (Tallent) Stancell. He married Kathy Grantham in Lariat, Texas on August 17, 1991.

Carey loved being a farmer. He enjoyed coaching Little League sports and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Lariat Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Carey is survived by his wife, Kathy; his five sons, Zacarey Stancell and his wife, Jordan of Muleshoe, Texas, Bretton Stancell and his wife, Brisa of West Camp, Texas, Trace Stancell of West Camp, Texas, Corey Stancell of West Camp, Texas and Brayden Stancell of West Camp, Texas; his two daughters, Taylor Stancell of West Camp, Texas and Kendal Stancell of West Camp, Texas; his two brothers, Steve Stancell of West Camp, Texas and Kyle Stancell of Lariat, Texas; and his two grandchildren, Kaizlea and Kylan.
