He served on the Cochran County Farm Bureau board for many years, and as president from 1980-1985. A heart for the region’s youth, Doug was a proud supporter of Whiteface FFA and Cochran County 4-H, in addition to serving on the Whiteface School Board from 1983-1987. He also served on the Soil and Water Conservation District board and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service board. He was a member of the East Side Church of Christ in in Morton.

Doug, or “DDad” to his grandchildren and many others, was a cherished friend to many. Some of his best memories were simply spending time with his family and attending any of his nine grandchildren’s activities. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Autry.
